From Showing Up to Stepping Into Purpose: Elizabeth’s Story of Growth

Growth doesn’t always look the way you expect it to.

It’s not always linear. It’s not always physical. And it’s rarely just about the number on the scale.

At CORE57, growth is about becoming stronger in every sense of the word — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

For Elizabeth Johnsen, that growth started with one simple decision: to show up.

The First Step

At 40 years old, as a mom of four, Elizabeth felt disconnected from her health, and from herself.

“Life had been all about taking care of everyone else, and I had put myself on the back burner for years.”

Like many women, she had spent years prioritizing everyone else’s needs, leaving little time or energy for her own. Until one day, something shifted.

“One day, I decided something needed to change — and that decision led me to walk into CORE57.”

Choosing Consistency

The beginning wasn’t easy. Early mornings. New routines. Pushing through discomfort.

“Showing up every morning at 5:45 a.m. felt impossible some days. But I made a commitment to myself to keep going, no matter what.”

That commitment became the foundation of everything that followed. One workout turned into a habit. That habit turned into consistency. That consistency started to change everything.

More Than Physical Strength

What Elizabeth found at CORE57 went far beyond fitness.

“I found a community of supportive, encouraging people who genuinely wanted to see each other succeed.”

With that support came something even more powerful: confidence.

“I started to feel stronger — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.”

She wasn’t just getting through workouts anymore. She was growing.

Discovering Something More

As her strength increased, so did her curiosity. Elizabeth became more invested in the process, not just for herself, but for others.

“I became curious, eager to learn more about fitness, about how the body works, and how to help others feel the way I was starting to feel.”

That curiosity turned into something bigger: purpose. With the support of her family, the CORE57 coaching team, and the community around her, Elizabeth made a bold decision. She would become a personal trainer.

Growth in Every Direction

Today, Elizabeth’s transformation is about far more than physical results.

“I’m not just healthier — I’m happier, more confident, and driven by a purpose.”

Her journey reflects what growth truly looks like:

  • Building strength and resilience

  • Gaining confidence and self-belief

  • Improving overall health and energy

  • Finding purpose and fulfillment

  • Becoming an inspiration to others

She now uses her experience to help others — especially moms — take that first step toward prioritizing themselves.

Growth Isn’t Linear, But It’s Worth It

Elizabeth’s story is a reminder that growth doesn’t happen overnight.

It happens in early mornings you don’t feel like showing up. In small decisions that add up over time. In choosing yourself again and again.

“If you had told me 5 years ago that this would be my path, I wouldn’t have believed you. But now, I can’t imagine anything more fulfilling.”

What Growth Looks Like at CORE57

At CORE57, growth isn’t one-size-fits-all.

For some, it’s lifting heavier. For others, it’s moving without pain. For others, it’s rebuilding confidence or finding a sense of purpose.

For Elizabeth, it was all of the above. And it all started with one decision — to walk through the door.
